Xpadder Editor's Review

This small but powerful program is your answer to contol-related PC gaming woes.

Tired of trying to play games on your PC now that you’ve gotten used to your console controller? Never fear, the answer is here. Using Xpadder you can hook your preferred controller up to your computer and assign mouse movements as well as various keyboard functions to the controller buttons. After you've got your profile set up you'll be away and gaming at the press of your controller button.

Xpadder is quite easy to use and while the interface is very basic, it’s also straightforward and intuitive so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting yourself set up. A great bonus for shared users is that Xpadder supports multiple profiles so you can chose your own settings and keep them. In relation to space, Xpadder takes up a relatively small slice of your CPU and memory resources so you don’t have to worry about it bogging down the operating system.

Pro's: Multiple profile set-up, rumble support (for Microsoft recognised controllers)

Con's: Some online multiplayer games that use anti-cracking software don't work with Xpadder

Conclusion: If nothing else, Xpadder is an excuse to dust off your old joystick and relive the coolness of youth. It’s a perfect solution: if you don’t like having to use a keyboard and mouse to play your PC games just plug in a USB controller and use Xpadder to customise your set up.
